Taijiquan is a holistic and effective system for developing body and mind. Originating as a martial art, Taijiquan is now appreciated by an increasing number of people as an effective health training programme. Due to the growing demand, many courses have been created that have little to do with the original movement and martial art. Our aim is to explore and preserve the origins of Taijiquan.
The Chen clan's Taijiquan is a traditional internal martial art. For centuries, the small framework - Xiaojia - was only passed on within the close circle of the Chen family and remained virtually unadulterated by Western influences. Dietmar Stubenbaum was accepted into this family circle during his travels to China and Taiwan in the 1990s. It is thanks to him that we have access to this treasure in Germany today.
The study of this traditional and original Taijiquan is an ongoing journey of research into Chinese history, culture and practice that has been handed down to this day. We would be delighted if you would join us on this journey and discover this rare jewel of Chinese martial arts with us and keep it alive.
